Touchscreens play a vital role in drone ground control systems by offering an intuitive, user-friendly interface that simplifies complex operations. They integrate multiple functions, such as flight path planning, real-time navigation, and camera control, all within a single display. By reducing the need for physical buttons, touchscreens streamline control panels and enhance portability. Furthermore, outdoor-ready features like high brightness and anti-reflective coatings ensure optimal visibility, while robust designs withstand harsh environments. These advantages make touchscreens ideal for efficient drone operation in various industries, even under challenging conditions.
To meet these demands, Bifa developed a customized 21.5" touch display designed for optimal performance in outdoor environments. Recognizing the challenges of low temperatures, we integrated a heater within the display to ensure smooth operation in extreme conditions. For visual clarity, we incorporated high-brightness technology with anti-reflective coatings, ensuring readability under direct sunlight.
To enhance responsiveness, the display features a projected capacitive touchscreen with multi-touch capabilities, providing operators with precise control. Additionally, optical bonding was applied to reduce glare, improve durability, and prevent condensation buildup. We also included EMI shielding with mesh layer to guarantee stable performance, even in electrically noisy environments, and ensured for use in challenging outdoor conditions.
